A frantic 911 call summoned police and paramedics to the home of Claudio Cara in Oshawa on the morning of Feb. 15, 2012. He was found slumped on the floor, dead. The courts would later determined son Frank had both opportunity and motive. He was charged with second-degree murder, spending months in custody awaiting trial until new evidence proved his innocence.
